Wildside Travellers is a travel blog for travel creators, run by Chloe Butcher and Rory Watson. We plan trips around light, access, and what is actually worth shooting — then publish the practical stuff: where to base, photo spots, and itineraries based on trips we took ourselves.

Who we are

Chloe writes most of our destination and hotel guides. She focuses on where to stay if you care about views, walkability, and getting to sunrise without a nightmare commute — plus the logistics generic roundups usually skip.

Rory is a photographer. He contributes photo-spot guides and shooting notes so you leave with better images, not just a checklist of tourist stops.

Who this is for

If you travel to make photos or content — whether that is your job or just how you like to remember a trip — you are in the right place. We write for people who want a base that works for early starts, spots with real timing notes, and honest skips.

How we create our guides

  • We visit the places we write about whenever possible and base recommendations on first-hand experience.
  • We prefer our own photos. When we use a hotel, tourism board, or partner image, we label it clearly.
  • We update popular guides when prices, transport, opening hours, or practical details change.
  • We do not publish destination guides from search results alone.

Editorial standards

Our goal is to help you make better decisions: where to base yourself for shooting, what to skip, how long things take, and what surprised us on the ground. If a place looks better online than in person, we say so.
