Wildside Travellers is Chloe Butcher and Rory Watson — a UK couple who travel together and write about the trips afterwards. Chloe writes the guides. Rory takes the photos. We only publish places we’ve actually been.
Who we are
Chloe writes most of our destination and hotel guides. She focuses on where we stayed, what we’d book again, and the logistics generic roundups usually skip.
Rory is a photographer. He shoots the trips and writes the photo-spot notes when that’s useful, so the guides aren’t just a checklist of tourist stops.

How we write our guides
- We visit the places we write about whenever possible and base recommendations on first-hand experience.
- We prefer our own photos. When we use a hotel, tourism board, or partner image, we label it clearly.
- We update popular guides when prices, transport, opening hours, or practical details change.
- We do not publish destination guides from search results alone.
Editorial standards
Our goal is to help you make better decisions: where to stay, what to skip, how long things take, and what surprised us on the ground. If a place looks better online than in person, we say so.
